My Top 10 Rules for Success
  1.  Be a Leader
  2. Be confident
  3. Try your best
  4. Never give up
  5. Stay positive
  6. Work hard
  7. Don't let others define your future
  8. Always bring your A game
  9. Be yourself
  10. Take on new challenges
Always do whats right for you don't ever let a person tell you want you can and cant do because its your life not theirs. Never give up because you'll never know you might get what you want sooner. Always try your best also because this can help you a lot in the future and don't give up when you start something always try to finish it. Taking on a new challenge can sometimes be scary but you sometimes have to get out of your comfort zone.
Class Evaluations
The things i like about this class is that i always learn about something new each day i come to this class. This class has showed me many things to consider in my life. Like for example to be confident and to believe in myself. Don't let anyone tell you what you can do or cant. I also like how our teacher the one and only Mr. Haymore is always motivating us to always Choose The Right and be successful in our lives. I also like how we keep a journal about your goals that we want to achieve or have achieved.
To be honest I don't think the class needs improving its already good as it is. This class shows you many things you need to learn. This is a very helpful class to have nothing about it needs to change in my opinion. The coding process was a bit difficult but once you learn how to properly use it you'll become addicted to it.
The highlight of this class was doing the scratch project it was so much fun and i learned so much while i was doing the project. Another highlight would be Learning about The Pyramid of Success as well as the top 10 rules for success by different professional athletes. Those two really helped me be more successful in life and has showed me the different perspectives in life. this also has taught me that practicing is key because if you want to be more successful in something you do you always have to practice.
I feel like i did do my best in this class because this class is so interesting that you just want to keep learning. Everyday I tried my very best to pass this class. I wouldn't get distracted while i was doing my work. I always turn in my work on time. My  grade is always on a A it has never went down.
I try my best to read my Life Planning Goals Journal for at least five times a day. Sometimes when i dont read them i am disappointed in myself because that is one of my goals to always read them no matter what. When i do read it i read it more than five minutes because i want to accomplish my goals and put victory in all of them.
I am committed to being a CTR person because everyday i try to make myself better as a person. Also because i have  learned how to believe in myself and i tell myself everyday that I can do it. I am also committed because i know whats wrong and whats right. I will always double think in my decisions i make everyday because Choosing The Right will always bring nothing but positive vibes in your life.

The 10 seeds of Greatness
by Denis Waitley
1) The seed of self-esteem(Appreciate the value of yourself)
"From self- love to self- worth"
  • This is a good seed because in order to succeed in life you have to learn that you're worth something and you'll also need to learn how to love yourself.  Having confidence is the way to go because without that you'll not be able to achieve anything because you'll think you are not good enough or that you cant do it but never say never and you cant give up, believe in yourselves that you can do it. Motivation can also achieve the things that you want to achieve.
2) The seed of Creativity
"Releasing your creative energy"
  • Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, and to make connections. Being creative is a good thing because it expresses who you are as a person and it shows you that you are unique and can think outside of the box using your imagination. This also shows that you are original and not just a copy. Its really hard to be creative because this means you have to think outside the box and think of something unique and amazing. Creativity involves thinking and producing.
3) The seed of Responsibility
"Whatever we sow, we reap."
  • Responsibility is the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something. This is a good seed because it can help you with many things like for example doing the right things and having respect towards others. Sometimes people dont want to take the responsibility but that's the good thing to do. Don't use excuses and take the responsibility.
4) The seed of Wisdom
"A large vocabulary- which implies broad, general knowledge- characterize the more successful persons, regardless of their occupations."
  • Wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise. Wisdom leads to a person that has overcome feelings of helplessness, powerlessness, and anger. Someone that has wisdom can overcome any obstacles that goes in their life.
5) The seed  of purpose
'' The gold mine in your goals"
  • Purpose is
  • the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists. Everything in life has a purpose. There is a saying that "Everything happens for a reason.''which means everything that happens to you has a purpose. Purpose also means to
  • have as one's intention or objective.                                                                                                                                        "If you are not working with purpose then you are not working at all." -Matt Harris
      6) The seed Of Communication
        "Reach out and touch someone
      • Communication is key because without it you'll get nowhere. This also helps you connect with someone else. Some can even develop communication skills which means the ability to convey information to another effectively and efficiently.
7) The seed of Faith " The power of positive believing"
  • Faith is when you have the complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Sometimes you have to have a little faith in yourself that you can actually achieve the things you want to achieve like one of your goals. Faith is confidence that you have to phase. Everyone need to have more Faith than Fear.
8)

9) The seed for Perseverance "The will to win is everything."
  • Perseverance is the steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. This means that you never give up even though it might be hard for you at first. Difficult doesn't stop you from anything. Perseverance also means the ability and self control that pushes you to work through challenges. Having perseverance means that when you are facing a challenge, you use your mind and your body to overcome it. You are also able to wait and work through difficulties, whether they have to do with your mind, your body, or your emotions. Having your mind set in something is also a good thing because once you start something you have to finish it.
Synonyms: persistence, tenacity, determination, staying power, indefatigably, and steadfastness,

10) The seed of Perspective "Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude."

  • a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something a point of view. It also means the way you see things. Everyone can picture something different because they are looking at the same thing but in a different way. Sometimes we need to see things from a different perspective.
Reflection: I would incorporate the 10 seeds of greatness to my everyday life because with these seeds I am able to become a better person. They should me to look at different perspective of things and they also showed me that no matter how difficult the challenge is I always have to work hard to achieve them. I have also learned to never give up and to keep trying. Another thing I learned was to be confident and believe in myself that i could do it.

Ten Tips for being more Truthful
  • Make a commitment to tell the truth.
  • Tell someone about your commitment.
  • Think before you give a dishonest answer, explanation, sarcasm, or reason.
  • Be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony.
  • Be careful not to twist the truth or leave out part of it.
  • Don't indulge in little white lies.
  • Watch out for silent lies.
  • When you catch yourself lying, throw your mouth into reverse.
  • Talk to yourself.
  • Treat yourself when you tell the truth.

Reflection: The ten tips help you to be a honest person and it tells you how to act when some is telling you or lie or the other way around. Like for example one of the tips say make a commitment to tell the truth this means that telling the truth is better than telling a little white lie. Sometimes when you lie and the person you told that lie to will never trust you because they think you are always going to lie so they wont trust you anymore. That's a bad thing because then no one is going to want to hangout with you just because of your lies. The ten tips benefit you in many ways. The ten tips are important because to live because without them you'll not be careful in what you say or you'll always lie. I will incorporate this in my life planning by setting a goal to always be honest and to be careful in what i say because even if i let a little detail out i could be twisting things up.

School Break Days

During my spring break i went to the beach with my friends and we ate there and we walked on the pier. We even got on rides but i was terrified because i am scared of heights. Another thing that i did was spend time with my family from Fresno. we stayed there for only three days because we had other plans. Once i came back home i went to the mall with my friends to do some shopping. The day after that i went to the movies with my boyfriend because he wanted to watch a movie that was called the belko experiment. The movie was fun. Another thing that i did was play volleyball with my family at the park i had a blast. The thing i didn't like about the break was that it was only a week long and that i had homework to do. I had to do two essays for my these two different classes which
were English and physics.

Honesty

In the video we watched it showed us being honest is a good thing and if you're not honest then you'll lose the people that are around you just because you weren't honest. If you're not honest then all your friends are not going to want to hangout with you because they dont trust you. In a video it showed many students taking a medical exam once the professor handed out the test he left the room and most of the kids took out cheat sheets and one guy thought to himself that its really hard competing with cheaters until one students got up and told the cheaters if he sees anyone cheating he was going to report them and all the students put there sheets away and started taking the test. If you're not honest you'll never succeed in life. Another example that the video showed us when a girls friend wanted the answers for the test but the other girl didn't give her the answers because she wanted to be honest and let her friend pass the test by herself without cheating. You should always be honest because the truth always comes out.

Pyramid of Success
John Wooden

Block 1: Industriousness
"In plain and simple English this means hard work. Very hard work. These is no substitute for very hard work when it comes to success."
  • Industriousness means you work hard and energetically. You have to work hard if your trying to succeed in life many times there's going to be competition but you have to work hard and diligently in order for you to actually achieve something.

Block 2: Enthusiasm
"It is the engine that powers all blocks of the pyramid.  Its is why I chose Industriousness and
Enthusiasm as the cornerstones of my pyramid of Success. It is where everything begins."

  • Enthusiasm is intense and eager enjoyment, interest, or approval. This can help you in many ways because you can be encouraged to do something you'll never see yourself achieving. Enthusiasm can make whatever your're doing fun and you'll enjoy every bit of it.
Block 3: Friendship
"Come from mutual esteem, respect and devotion.Like marriage it must not be taken for granted but requires a joint effort."
  • Friendship is the emotions or conduct of friends or the state of being friends. Being able to be in a friendship with someone can be a huge thing because friendship can make someone close and also make someone trust you. Another thing about friendship is that they would never do something to you, they always find a way to help you or even cheer you up. A friend would never let you down so do anything that would hurt you in any way. Friends actually care so much about you. If there's no friendship then how are you going to work in life or even trust someone.
" A best friend should love you like a mother, protect you like a father, talk to you like a sister, and fight with you like a brother." - Unknown

Block 4: Loyalty

"To yourself and to all those depending upon you. keep your self- respect."

  • Loyalty is the quality of being loyal to someone or something. Loyalty is a good thing to have because it shows that people can actually trust you and if they trust you they would be loyal back. Being loyal can bring happiness to your life like for example a loyal friend can help you with anything you need because you know there always going to be there for you. Unloyal people dont have friends and many people dont trust them so its always a good thing to be loyal.
Block 5: Cooperation
"With all levels of your co- workers. Listen if you want to be heard. Be interested in finding the best way, not in having your own way."
  • Cooperation is the process of working together to the same end. There are people that are going to support you all the way into the end and theirs others that wont and they'll just give up because they think you wont succeed. well you dont pay attention to those people pay attention to the ones that actually care about you and would stick by your side for the rest of your life.
Block 6: Ambition
For noble goals

  • Ambition is when you have a desire to achieve something. Like once you start something you always have to finish it no matter what. Your always committed and you also show that you really like what you do. Being Ambition is a good thing because your always going up there's nothing bringing you down or stopping you from achieving your goals. Your effort is always bigger when your ambition.

"Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.'' - Salvador Dali

Block 7: Self-Control
"Practice self-discipline and keep emotions under control. Good judgement and common sense are essential."

  • Self-Control is the ability to control oneself, in particular one's emotions and desires or the expression of them in one's behavior, especially in difficult situations. This skill is very important to have because this can help you stop doing whats not the best for you and the things that can ruin your whole life. Self control gives you to use your common sense and stop the bad decisions. Sometimes you will like what you are doing but you have to realize that what your doing and like to do is not always the best thing and it might not be in your best interest.
“To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart.” - Eleanor Roosevelt

Block 8: Alertness
"Be Observing constantly. Stay open-minded. Be eager to learn and improve."

  • Alertness is when you're always aware and you know whats good for you and whats not. Also that nothing gets pass you. Alertness also means you are very careful and think twice about the decisions you make.  This also means constantly be aware and observing and always seek to improve yourself and the team.
Block 9: Initiative
"Cultivate the ability to make decisions and think alone. Do not be afraid of failure, but learn from it."
  • the ability to assess and initiate things independently. This means dont always give up and keep doing what you want. Sometimes your friends dont want to do something that you want to do so you dont do it because they are not going to be there. Don't give up that easily. Be prepared to fail because once you fail you can learn from it and do better.
Block 10: Intentness
"Set  a realistic goal. Concentrate on its achievements by resisting all temptations. Be determined and persistent."

  • Intentness means having the attention sharply focused or fixed on something. This also means to always try to reach your goals no matter what. If temptation is upon you then you have to resist and keep achieving your goal. You always have to stay alert with the things that are good for you and the things that aren't as good. Many times that temptation would be so strong that you'll end up giving up on your goals but you have to stop that temptation and try to ignore it. Therefore it would be hard for you to ignore the temptations but you also have to keep in mind that those temptations can hurt you in many ways.

"The place became full of a watchful intentness now ; for when other things sank blooding to sleep the heath appeared slowly to awake and listen." -Thomas Hardy

Block 11: Sincerity
Keeps Friends

  • Being Sincerity is a good thing because without it you wouldn't be able to make friends or even know how to treat them well. Making friends is the best feeling because you wont be lonely all the time. Also you'll have someone to go to when you're hurt. Many times friends are more than just your friends they are more like family that would always be there for you no matter what.

"A friend should be one in whose understanding and virtue we can equally confide, and whose opinion we can value at once for its justness and its sincerity." -Robert Hall

Block 12: Adaptability
To any situation

  • Adaptability is the quality of being able to adjust to new conditions. In order for you to do good in something you always have to adapt to your surroundings. Adaptability is a huge advantage because it can help you with many things. We wouldn't survive anywhere if we didn't have the skill to adapt to anything. It would be hard for us because adaptability plays a huge part in our life.
“All living things contain a measure of madness that moves them in strange, sometimes inexplicable ways. This madness can be saving; it is part and parcel of the ability to adapt. Without it, no species would survive.” -  Yann Martel

Block 13: Condition
" Mental - Moral- Physical. Rest, exercise and diet must be considered. Moderation must be practiced. Dissipation must be eliminated."

  •  Condition is the state of something, especially with regard to its appearance, quality, or working order or a mode or state of being. The way you are conditioned is the way you'll preform in something your are doing. If you are in good condition then you'll have a better chance to succeed in life. The way other people conditioned you that's they way you'll always be.
"There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them."                -Denis Waitley

Block 14: Skill
" A knowledge of and the ability to properly and quickly execute the fundamentals. Be prepared and cover every little detail."

  • Skill is the ability to do something well. Skill is a good thing to have because it means you are good at what you do. It shows you can be committed to what you start and it also shows that you really try your best to learn something. When you have skills in something you know how to do it well and other people may look up to you and ask you for help because you are really good at doing whatever you do. This also means that you are very prepared for everything.

"Skill is the unified force of experience, intellect and passion in their operation."  -John Ruskin

Block 15: Team spirit
"A genuine consideration for others. An eagerness to sacrifice personal interests of glory for the welfare of all."

  • the feelings of camaraderie among the members of a group, enabling them to cooperate and work well together. In order to work well with others you need to have team spirit and actually do your part of the work. without team spirit all your team would not be motivated which would cause a lot of damage. Everyone in your team needs to have a part if someone doesnt play their part then the whole team has to suffer the consequences that come.
"We have a great sense of togetherness. It is our team spirit that has taken us to this World Cup."

-Robbie Keane

Block 16: Honesty

  • Honest is being free of deceit and untruthfulness and also being sincere. Honesty is hard for some people. If you be honest then you'll become a better person in many ways. People would start to appreciate you more and you'll also get trusted more. If your honest many people would want to be around you because they know you wouldn't lie to them but instead you'll tell them the honest truth. Sometimes you have to fight in order to get your point across. You always have to believe in yourself and tell yourself you can do it.
"Work hard for what you want because it won't come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive."

Final Reflection

  • The building blocks made me a better person. It also made me realize that you have to wait in order for you can have a successful life. Everyday i try to apply the blocks to my everyday life. The blocks that I'm applying now is Patience, Confidence, Honesty, and Integrity. The difference is that now I am patient and I wait for the things to get better. I am more friendly than I was before. The blocks made me realize there is more things out there and I have to explore them. They also showed me not to give up, and to keep going. I will incorporate by making goals about the building blocks for I can become a better person and a better team mate. I will show and teach my friends about the Pyramid of Success by showing them my post about the blocks and teaching them about them. Ill even give them examples on how they can apply them to their everyday life.
